Terms of use
Last updated 22 October 2026
1. Who you are agreeing with
PICUlearn is run by Lifetree Digital Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16508268, whose registered office is at 124-128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “PICUlearn” mean that company. You can reach us at info@piculearn.com.
2. What PICUlearn is
PICUlearn is a free educational platform for people who work in paediatric intensive care. It is for learning, not clinical decision-making: it does not replace your unit's guidelines, clinical supervision or clinical judgement (see educational use). You use it at your own discretion.
3. Your account
- You need a free account to use the members' area. Keep access to your email or Google account secure; you're responsible for what happens under your account.
- Give accurate details. If you add a work email or professional registration number, it must be yours.
- You can delete your account at any time from your account page.
4. Using PICUlearn properly
You agree not to:
- enter or upload any information that could identify a patient;
- upload anything you don't have the right to share, or that is unlawful, misleading, abusive or promotional;
- copy, download or redistribute private content (group recordings, uploaded videos and slides), or try to get around the private playback links;
- misuse Peeky or other features, overload the site, or try to access accounts, groups or data that aren't yours.
5. Teaching you share
- When you submit a video, slides, a course or an event, you confirm that you have the right to share it, that every speaker or author has agreed to it being shared on PICUlearn, and that it contains no patient-identifiable information.
- You keep ownership of what you share. You give PICUlearn a free, non-exclusive licence to host, process (for example to stream video or create summaries), display and organise it for members, or for group content, the group's members, for as long as it stays on PICUlearn.
- Everything is reviewed before it appears, and PICUlearn may decline, edit details of (such as tags and summaries), or remove any content.
- You can remove your own submissions at any time from your account page. Speakers or rights holders who want something removed can email info@piculearn.com.
6. Courses and certificates
Course authors are responsible for their course content and for having the rights to material they include. Courses marked “PICUlearn reviewed” have been reviewed by a named reviewer; this is not a guarantee of accuracy. A certificate records completion of a course, not competence or a qualification; a course is CPD-accredited only when it shows the “CPD accredited” badge with the accrediting body's details.
7. Groups
- Groups are closed spaces run by their group admins, who decide who joins and what goes on the group's shelves. Some groups require a confirmed work email.
- Group content is private to that group's members. Group admins may move an item into the main Library only with the agreement of those who shared it.
- Group admins must follow these terms and are responsible for checking what their group shares. PICUlearn admins can act on any group content that breaks these terms.
- A group's admins can export the group's content list at any time. A full export of the group's uploaded recordings will be offered on request, so a group is never locked in.
8. Peeky and AI features
Peeky and PICUlearn's summaries are produced with AI. They can be wrong or incomplete; always check the cited sources. Peeky doesn't give drug doses or advice about individual patients. Daily limits apply.
9. Events and other websites
PICUlearn lists events run by other organisers and links to other websites. It doesn't take bookings and isn't responsible for external events, websites or embedded videos; check details with the organiser.
10. Availability and changes
PICUlearn is provided free and “as is”. We try to keep it available and accurate but can't guarantee it will always be available, error-free or up to date. We may change or stop features. If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
11. Liability
PICUlearn is an educational resource and is not responsible for clinical decisions made using it. To the extent the law allows, Lifetree Digital Ltd is not liable for any loss arising from use of the site, including any loss of profit, goodwill or data, or any indirect loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
12. Ending your use
You can stop using PICUlearn and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and remove content that does.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. Contact: info@piculearn.com.
