Summary

The ERC 2021 Paediatric Life Support guidelines, derived from the 2020 ILCOR consensus on science with treatment recommendations, cover recognition and management of the critically ill or injured infant and child before, during and after cardiac arrest. They address basic and advanced life support, management of respiratory failure and shock, arrhythmias, and post-resuscitation care. Applicable to all clinicians caring for acutely unwell children, including PICU, emergency and transport teams. A core reference for resuscitation training and practice in Europe.
