Summary

A national web-based survey of consultant paediatric intensivists in Saudi Arabia assessing self-reported adherence to ACCM-PALS and Surviving Sepsis Campaign recommendations using a case scenario of a child with severe sepsis. Respondents reported high rates of timely antibiotics, fluid bolus resuscitation, vasopressor initiation and hydrocortisone use in catecholamine-refractory shock, with most reporting full adherence to the time-specific bundle. Absence of a locally written protocol was the most commonly cited barrier. Useful for PICU teams considering local sepsis protocols and implementation gaps rather than as a source of clinical recommendations.
