Summary
A modified three-round European Delphi study involving 144 professionals from 14 countries identified and prioritised medical skills for simulation-based training of interdisciplinary neonatal interhospital transport teams. Consensus was reached on 21 skills for physicians and 34 for non-physician team members, with differing priorities by role. Top physician skills clustered around airway and ventilation management, chest compressions and vascular access, while nursing and allied staff priorities focused on transport incubator set-up, monitoring and infusion management. Useful for those designing retrieval team training curricula.
